Data Deletion
Last updated on August 25, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data processed by Dopu, a brand operated by DIEGO MURAKAMI LTDA (CNPJ 54.995.846/0001-38). The request is free and open to anyone whose data we process.
How to request
- Email dpo@dopuapp.com with the subject "Data deletion", stating your name and the channel through which your data reached us (platform account, Instagram message, WhatsApp message, or website form).
- If you hold a professional account with Dopu, you can also close it under Settings › Danger Zone inside the platform.
We respond within 15 days of receipt, under art. 19 of Lei nº 13.709/2018 (LGPD).
Data originating from Meta platforms
Dopu integrates Instagram and WhatsApp for support and for sending appointment reminders. If you messaged us through either channel, we process the identifier assigned by Meta, the conversation content and, where provided, your name and phone number. On receiving your request we delete those records from our systems and from our support desk. We do not use this data for advertising or to train artificial intelligence models.
Deleting data at Dopu does not delete data retained by Meta. For that, use your account settings on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
What is deleted
- Contact and navigation data associated with you.
- Support conversation history over Instagram, WhatsApp, email, or chat.
- Lead records and marketing campaign records.
What cannot be deleted
Some data is retained as required by law, under the exceptions in art. 16 of the LGPD. In those cases the data is blocked from any other purpose:
- Patient records and clinical documents. Retention is the legal duty of the psychologist who provided the service, under art. 4 of CFP Resolution 001/2009; Dopu only holds them in custody. If you are a patient, address your deletion request to the professional who treated you, who is the controller of that data.
- Tax and billing records, for the period required by tax law.
- Application access logs, for the period set by art. 15 of the Brazilian Internet Framework Act.
If the request is refused
Every refusal is communicated in writing, with the reasons and the legal provision it rests on. You may contest the decision by replying to the same email, or file a complaint with the Brazilian data protection authority (ANPD) at gov.br/anpd.
